The Parot Glass Studio undertakes conservation and restoration work for private individuals as well as for various organizations associated with
the protection of the France’s heritage.
It also effects appraisals for insurance companies, draws up detailed reports on the health of glass in any form, and draws up quotes
(in the majority of cases there is no charge for these).

The Parot Studio is fully equipped to take part in on-site conservation and restoration operations anywhere in France for the preservation of the national heritage. It has been approved by numerous regional conservation departments of Historic Monuments, further to being selected on the basis of restricted calls for tenders.

The Studio’s highly-qualified craftsmen and excellent facilities (a dust-free laboratory for the treatment of ancient stained-glass windows, a large strong room, etc.), enable it to complete important commissions within a specified time, for example the restoration of the stained-glass windows in the apse of St. Pierre Cathedral in Carcassonne (13th-14th century and 16th century windows) in fulfilment of a commission from the Languedoc-Roussillon DRAC
(Regional Department of Cultural Affairs) for the sum of €700,000.

The studio also created an experimental stained-glass window, using four separate sheathing processes, to protect the ancient windows in the lower part
of the north wall of Strasbourg cathedral.

The Franche Comité DRAC has asked the Studio to carry out a study concerning problems relative to the deterioration of windows made of glass blocks.

It regularly works in conjunction with the Historic Monuments Commission’s research laboratory in Champs sur Marne, and employs the latest conservation and restoration techniques in strict compliance with the rules of professional conduct governing restorers in the performance of their work.
